1. Isopropyl Alcohol-dries the hair out and causes breakage.

2. Mineral Oil-is a petroleum byproduct that dries the hair. This commonly used petroleum ingredient coats the skin and hair just like plastic wrap. The skin's ability to release toxins and wastes is impossible through this "plastic wrap," which can promote acne and othe
 r disorders.

3. Polyethylene Glycol (PEG)- strips the hair by dissolving the natural oils giving you a squeaky clean feeling. They are also potentially carcinogenic. 

4. Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS)- is a foaming agent that stips the hair of moisture. SLS is a potentially toxic ingredient that is easily absorbed into the skin and has been identified as a potential carcinogen.

5. Fragrance-filled with compounds that are carcinogenic or otherwise toxic. Fragrance on a label can indicate the presence of up to 4,000 separate ingredients. Most or all of them are synthetic. 

6. Parabens- can mimic the hormone estrogen, which is known to play a role in the development of breast cancers.
